Find Food Freedom.

Eating Disorder Counseling in California.

woman- head in knees

Your deepest desire is to find peace with food.

Each day is a new battle with yourself and your relationship to food. High tension, anxiety, and fear are ever present.

The only way you know how to handle these feelings is through food. You restrict to manage your anxiety for the day. Or you binge eat as a way of numbing out the unwanted feelings.

It’s been going on for a while now... and you fear that if left unsupported it will be everlasting, continuing to suck the aliveness right out of things.

Here’s the thing, it doesn’t have to be this way. I can tell you that there IS a way out.

I’ve done it, and helped many others do the same. And that is why I am passionate about helping you realize the same is true for you.

Therapy rooted in mindfulness and self compassion can help.

We are almost always thinking about the past or future, which creates fear, anxiety, sadness and a sense of disconnection from ourselves. This is often when people turn to food.

My approach incorporates a variety of mindfulness and self compassion practices designed to help you gain skills in slowing down the internal chatter.

By coming to the present moment, we learn to accept our feelings, and our emotions can calm down. Using mindfulness and self compassion will allow you to embrace emotions, be ok with yourself and relieve the need to obsess over food.

Getting to the core, and feeling free

When you become present you also begin to recognize what is at the core of your disordered eating. Then you can begin to heal it. You can work to let things go.

As you go through this, now your anxiety, your sadness start to become lighter. And with that fog removed, you begin to feel inspiration, compassion, freedom, and a passion for each day.

You make space for joy, excitement, and a zest for life as you work to celebrate and welcome all parts of you.
