Therapy for Anorexia.

Fear. Self-doubt. Shame.

You wake up every day trying to control these feelings… by restricting your food.

But it’s not working.

You are obsessed with food. Every moment, every action all revolves back to how you can control the next meal, and ultimately your fear.

You’ve tried to stop counting calories, or confided in a loved one about this, or even threw away the scale, but it just doesn’t seem to stop. Ever.

You don’t know what to do anymore. You don’t know exactly what to do to begin to heal.

You may have thoughts like:

“I may just be stuck with this fear of food forever”
“I REALLY need help healing my relationship to food”
“I used to love food, now I hate it. I want my love for food back”

Anorexia can be tiresome, exhausting, lonely, and 100% scary. I UNDERSTAND.

It’s like you are missing that aliveness needed for all of life’s most important things.

That aliveness. It’s not gone.

Therapy can help heal.

I’ve worked with many people who have been there, but also HEALED PAST IT.

It is possible to stop using food as a way to control fear, anxiety, shame and guilt.

It is possible to feel free from this. It IS possible to find your aliveness. It just takes the specific focused support.

Why do people engage in restrictive eating patterns?

Anorexia takes form as a desire for perfection, a desire to fit in, or as a desire to be able to accept oneself.

You may be a high achiever that puts their all into everything (a great quality), but it’s often masking a deeper sense of lack of self-acceptance or self love.

There is a sense of if I can do THIS perfectly, then I can accept myself…but never actually being satisfied.

This habit mixed with a diet or a desire for thinness can very easily turn into the restrictive eating disorder anorexia.

But permanent change is possible.

I am here to help.

I will help you get to know what is underneath your Anorexia and why it began.

Whether you feel like a perfectionist that seeks self- acceptance or validation, or you find safety in being able to control your food, we will work to uncover what is causing your anorexia.

When we get to the core issues of the anorexia, we can then begin the healing process of THOSE issues, and the grip of anorexia begins to lose it’s hold.

At my practice, my SOLE focus is on helping people overcome their eating disorders. This is what I specialize in, my purpose, what I have helped so many people with.

Healing is possible.

If you are ready to begin the journey of healing, to make peace with yourself and with your relationship with food, I AM here. I am ready to help you on your healing path.

Making contact is the first step in telling your eating disorder, NO MORE. With that, I know it can be really really challenging to do so. I understand.

AND, I am ready to make this happen with you. I actually look forward to it.
